More than just eyes.
cbm opens its doors to men, women and children with a variety
of disabilities. These people have a great deal of potential,
but very little opportunity to overcome their disabilities.
The need is great. Clubfeet, one of the most common congenital
deformities worldwide, affects at least one out of every 1,000
babies born. Malnutrition is responsible for bone softening,
resulting in severe “knock knees” or bowed legs. Polio, cerebral
palsy and tuberculosis of the spine still take a terrible toll on the developing
world.
You can make a difference.
Currently, we provide medical treatment to 188,000 orthopaedic
patients. We also provide rehabilitative care to 305,000 people
with disabilities other than blindness.
But we need to do more to share the good news of God's love in both word and deed with
the poorest of the poor.
