cbm is committed to demonstrating
the living love of Christ through grassroots community care. By recruiting
and training local health and rehabilitation workers to help right
in their own communities, we are ensuring that care is appropriate,
culturally-sensititve and sustainable.
cbm’s local health/rehabilitation workers find neighbours
with disabilities, refer them to medical centres when necessary,
ensure follow-up treatment after medical care and teach moms
and dads how to care for and exercise their special children.
They also teach whole villages about primary health care, nutrition
and improved hygiene. There’s no better way to prevent
blindness and disability!
It costs just $50 to give a health/rehabilitation worker his
or her initial training.
God's love through Christ is a tranformational presence that
changes not just the lives of afflicted individuals, but families
and entire communities.
You can make a difference.
